Memory Care: Specialized For Those With Alzheimer's

Edgewood Memory Care Residents Receive

Needing A Break – Day & Respite Services
When a loved one is initially diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of memory loss, especially in the early stages of the disease, the initial responsibilities of the family member who is the primary caregiver may seem manageable. Eventually, the progression of the disease makes this role an around-the-clock responsibility. Soon the sole caregiver becomes exhausted with the growing needs of their loved one.
Care For Caregivers
Day & Respite Services is a term used by Edgewood Vista to describe time taken by the caregiver for rest and rejuvenation from the demands of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of memory loss. Though caregivers often feel guilty leaving their loved one in the care of someone else, it is imperative for both parties. Caregivers who neglect their own physical and emotional health may be ill-equipped to meet the daily challenges of care giving.
We offer short-term respite and day services so that your loved one gets personalized care while you take care of errands, appointments, your job or a vacation. Edgewood offers a variety of programs to help you for an hour, a full day or an extended time.
